Agent Login

Station Nailup on Login

When an agent logs into a campaign and their extension is 'Nailed Up' (see Agent Work Flow), the connection between their extension and the telephony layer is held open. This serves two purposes.

  1. It means that the agent cannot be called out of the control of Softdial CallGem™ and therefore Softdial CallGem™ has complete control of a campaign's agent resource.
  2. It ensures that when a call to an external party has been connected, the call will be connected to the agent without any delay. If the agent extension was not nailed up, a call would first have to be made to the agent extension (and answered) before the connection could be made.

When logging an agent onto a campaign (including, for example, the System campaign to receive inbound calls), the configuration within Softdial Repository™ dictates whether the agent's extension is nailed up or not. See Static Configs for more details.

Agent nailup and login/ logout behaviour has been changed with V10.6.366. For more details, see Agent Work Flow.
